China-U.S. Graduate Students Joint Research Project

Academic exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and American teachers and students are vital to deepen understanding between two countries and minimize misunderstanding. On November 23rd 2021, CUSEF hosted the first meeting between Dr. Raymond Terry, Director of the SCHP Office of Global Health Initiatives at Morgan State University and Professor Xie Tao, Dean of the School of International Relations and Diplomacy at Beijing Foreign Studies University, along with a total of 10 graduate students, 5 from each university. The students will conduct a 6-month Joint Research paper on the topic of ‘Global Health’.

World leaders and representatives convened in Glasgow, Scotland earlier this month for the 26th annual UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties or COP26. The conference, which was held between October 31-November 12, was the first time since the signing of the Paris Accords in 2015 that committed countries gathered to renew their pledge to fight climate change and keep the global temperature below 1.5°C (2.7°F). The primary issues covered at the conference included climate finance, carbon markets, coal, and methane usage.
