CUSEF Mourns the Passing of Our Founder and Chairman Emeritus, the Honorable Tung Chee Hwa

It is with profound grief that we mourn the passing of the Honorable Tung Chee Hwa, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the China–United States Exchange Foundation; First Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; and former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Mr. Tung passed away in Hong Kong on 8 September 2026, at the age of 89.
