- Tensions Rise Among U.S. And Chinese Military | Tensions between the U.S. and Chinese military continue to grow in the South China Sea, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Milley, has called for a record of all interactions between the two militaries over the last 5 years. This comes as a U.S. Navy vessel sailed near the Nansha Islands (also known as the Spratly Islands) this week in the South China Sea. The Chinese military says this is a violation of China’s sovereignty while the U.S. says China’s claims are dangerous for the region.
