Creating Relationships through Education

Through our educational exchanges, we offer American students the opportunity to explore and grow their understanding of China. Our in-country visits enable students not only to experience Chinese culture and its people first hand, but to also gain insight into politics, security, business, technology, environment and the anti-poverty initiatives in China.

In collaboration with Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), the Foundation co-organized and sponsored a group of 18 Columbia students to visit China between January 2nd and January 12th, 2019 to study China’s Innovation and their Global Partnership Strategies.

During the 11-day trip, the delegation visited three places in China, namely, Beijing, Yunnan and Shenzhen, where they met with Chinese government ministries, business leaders, academics and non-profit organizations to gain a panoramic view of China and its development. Students also visited a number of famous cultural sites in China, including the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, and sampled a variety of Chinese cuisines.
