Policy-Oriented Research explores major issues of the China-US relationship through a mutually respectful, supportive environment.  The Foundation partners with prominent think tanks in China and the United States such as SIIS, CSIS and CAP to conduct a series of research to chart for positive relations between the two nations.

CUSEF sponsored the joint study: China-US Cooperation: Key to the Global Future by the Atlantic Council and CIIS. The report was launched in Washington, D.C., and in Beijing. Both events had an attendance of about 150 scholars, former government officials, academics, and reporters.

CUSEF sponsors the EastWest Institute to publish: Threading the Needle: Proposals for U.S. and Chinese Actions on Arms Sales to Taiwan. This report offers several new ideas for managing one of the most contentious issues in the US-China bilateral relationship.

CUSEF released an economic study “US-China 2022: US-China Economic Relations in the Next 10 Years” in order to identify the potential economic benefits for both China and the U.S. in the next decade. The report was authored by prominent American and Chinese scholars, including Nobel Laureate Michael Spence.
