10th U.S. – China High-Level Political Party Leaders Dialogue 2017
Sponsored by the China-United States Exchange Foundation, the 10th U.S. – China High-Level Political Party Leaders Dialogue was organized by the EastWest Institute in partnership with the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on December 3-5, 2017. The delegation was headed by Alphonso Jackson, former Secretary of US Department of Housing and Urban Development and by Martin O’Malley, former Governor of State of Maryland. They met with senior officials from the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Beijing, China. These Chinese senior officials included Yang Jiechi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Song Tao, Minister of International Department of CPC Central Committee. A variety of issues were discussed during the dialogue, covering governing and policy priorities in the US and China, prospects for U.S. – China relations, and so forth.
