Exchange programs provide influential Americans with first-hand experience of the conditions, challenges, and opportunities facing China. With an aim to improve trust between high-level thought leaders from both the U.S. and China, CUSEF organizes numerous of delegations, including former U.S. Senators, Congressional Black Cacus (CBC) members and their staffers, local and state officials and legislators, and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR), to deepen these organizations’ understanding of China and enhance strategic cooperation.

In cooperation with Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, CUSEF invited three U.S.  Journalists delegations to China in 2016.

For the first time, CUSEF organized a delegation of eleven students from Graduate School of Journalism of University of California Berkeley to visit Beijing, Kunming and Shanghai between December 11th and 20th, 2016.

On November 11th - 20th, CUSEF hosted the 2nd journalists’ trip to China in 2016.

In collaboration with the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, CUSEF successfully organized the third Historically Black Colleges and Universities (“HBCU”) Leadership Delegation to China from 29th October to 5th November, 2016.

Partnering with the U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress (FMC) and the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), CUSEF brought a group of five former Congressmen to visit China for nine days in late May and early June of 2016.

From May 17th to May 27th, the U.S. Journalists from Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, CNBC, The Baltimore Sun and The Guardian visited Beijing, Harbin, Mudanjiang and Shanghai.
