Johns Hopkins SAIS Student Delegation

In collaboration with the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) , CUSEF sponsored and organized a group of Johns Hopkins SAIS graduate students to visit China from November 17, 2017 to November 27,2017 to better understand the country’s energy transition and China-US relations.

During the 10-days’ visit, the professors and the students visited Beijing, Shenzhen, Changzhou and Shanghai to engage in substantive meetings. Some of the highlights included the meeting with the National Development and Reform Commission, Energy Research Institute , Ministry of Environmental Protection, National Energy Administration, Bloomberg New Energy Finance, China Shenzhen Emissions Exchange, Shenzhen Energy Mawan Energy Plant and a visit to Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute where they were able to interact with the Chinese students and to establish friendship.
