African American Students’ Visits to China 2014

CUSEF worked with partner organizations such as Beijing Foreign Studies University and Hangzhou Wanxiang Polytechnic to sponsor five groups of African American students to visit and experience China in 2014. Students received tailor-made lectures, visited attractions, watched performances and had opportunities to interact with Chinese students during their two-week visits. The delegations enjoyed a comprehensive learning program and gained firsthand experience into China’s history and culture.

Special thanks to Wanxiang Group for being a major sponsorship of the visits.

In partnership with Chicago Urban League and several Congressional Black Caucus members, the Foundation invites and sponsors groups of African American high school students to visit China every summer. Students will receive tailor-made lectures, visit attractions, and interact with Chinese students. The funds for these programs are partially donated by Wanxiang Group.
