The China-US Exchange Foundation firmly believes that the US journalists’ first-hand experience of the conditions, challenges, and opportunities facing China will lead to better understanding of the complexities of China’s rise, and ultimately will help to advance our bilateral relations. With this vision, CUSEF was a pioneer in bringing numerous media delegations to visit China. Since the commencement of the project in 2008, many influential mainstream media outlets have participated in the exchange, including The Economist, National Public Radio, the Atlantic Magazine, Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, Newsweek and Bloomberg, among others. Over 50 journalists have travelled to both the more prosperous coastal regions of China’s east and the less developed inland regions to witness the country’s growth stories and challenges.
