Executive Officer
Mr Alan Wong was born in China, his family later settled in Hong Kong. After attending high school in Hong Kong, Mr Wong went to Canada for his tertiary education, where he graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree of Bachelor of Science.
After working briefly in the private and public sectors, Mr Wong started his long career with Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). He moved up the ranks from Market Officer to Deputy Executive Director. He has extensive experience working both in Hong Kong and overseas which included postings to Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Panama, Paris, London, etc. His main responsibilities were to promote international trade between Hong Kong and overseas countries, overseeing TDC's network of overseas representation and formulating TDC's promotional strategies. He retired from the Council in June 2010, after almost 40 years of service.
In November 2010, he became the Executive Director of China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), a non-profit organisation devoted to promoting better understanding between the peoples of the United States and China.
