Chief Executive Officer

Mrs. Clarie Lo

Mrs. Clarie Lo is the founding CEO of the China-United States Exchange Foundation. She previously served as Deputy Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury, and Commissioner for Narcotics of the Hong Kong Government. She had also covered portfolios on trade & industry, energy & monetary policies, public housing, home affairs and security issues.

Mrs. Lo was selected as President of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) based in Paris from 2001 to 2002. Under her leadership, the Special Recommendations on countering Terrorist Financing and the new 40 Recommendations on anti-money laundering were formulated. She sat in the Board of the Singapore National Council Against Drug Abuse from 1998 to 2003. In 2006, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank, she rendered advice to the General Office of the National People's Congress and other ministries on China's draft anti-money laundering legislation and implementation plans.

Mrs. Lo holds a Master of Laws from the University of London, a Master of Science in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor in Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.  She participated in the Executive Education Program at the Harvard Business School and the Administrative Officers Development course at the University of Oxford. She holds Diplomas in China Studies from Tsinghua University and the National School of Administration in China, and a Postgraduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law.
