Since 2008, the China-US Exchange Foundation has partnered with Primary Source, an organization from Massachusetts, U.S. that promotes cultural understanding in American students by introducing global content to K-12 educators, to educate American teachers about China through seminars and educational exchanges to China.
Through this project, CUSEF has facilitated numerous study visits to China by American teachers and education administrators, introduced the CUSEF lecture series where China experts are invited to speak to people from all sectors of American society on issues related to China’s development and Sino-US relations, as well as established online learning courses on Chinese history and culture. This collaborate project with Primary Source has encouraged Americans to pay greater attention to US-China relations, and enabled more American teachers to better introduce China into their classrooms, thereby increasing their students’ awareness of China.
